Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) Trial & Kazguu University

 

Dear Patrons!

Kazguu University  is provided with a trial of  Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)  system. Below are the instructions on how to access to the trial. It will remain active till April 22, 2021.

During this trial you will have access to the following datasets in trial mode: Compustat, CRSP, BoardEx, Factset, GovPX, LSPD, Markit, Mergent Fisd, Option Metrics, TAQ…

Accessing your Trial Account: To use the web interface, begin by pointing your browser to https://wrds-www.wharton.upenn.edu/ and use the following login information:

. Username: kazguutrial

. Password:  kazguu123456 (password is case-sensitive).

Within the WRDS system, you will find:

·       Powerful, Yet Easy to Learn Data Query Options: WRDS allows users to download data through our web interface -several hundred firms to an entire database.

·       Support Manuals and additional Documentation: Support provides access to documentation including manuals, sample programs, research applications and Frequently Asked Questions.

·       Professional Research and Technical Support. When the online Support does not meet your needs, you can reach our research and technical specialists at wrds@wharton.upenn.edu. They will assist you with any difficulties including reviewing your programs, locating the right data for a particular research problem, and answering other questions concerning data content, format, or access.

·       E-learning helps to instruct users on making the most of the WRDS resources by providing interactive training sessions and On-Demand Videos.
